Darth Zannah

Darth Zannah, known as Zannah in another lifetime, was born of pain and suffering accompanied by the raw Force power of a girl too young to wield it. During the time Sith Lord Kaan and his Brotherhood of Darkness waged war against the Jedi and Jedi Master Hoth's Army of Light, Zannah was one of the recruits conscripted into service by the Jedi for her latent Force ability. Taken to fight at the Battle of Ruusan, Zannah first tasted blood when she killed two Jedi Knights in a murderous rage.

Darth Bane witnessed this incident and saw in Zannah the potential of a powerful Force user and made the young girl his apprentice. During the war with the Jedi, Darth Bane witnessed the selfishness of the Sith, the lust for power that prevented them from making a concerted effort to destroy the Jedi. Out of this, Bane reforged the image of the Sith, one that would not suffer the weaknesses of a leaderless Sith Order. After the Battle of Ruusan, Darth Bane decreed that the Sith would from then on remain in hiding, working from the shadows to destroy their ancient enemy. There could be no more than two Sith at any time, a master and an apprentice, and Darth Zannah was the first apprentice of this new tradition.

After joining Bane on Ruusan, Darth Zannah and Band discovered her old cousin Darovit deep within the secret cave passages between the Jedi and the Sith camps. As Zannah, she had been drafted into the army along with her cousins Darovit and Hardin, who soon found themselves to be on opposite sides of the war. Darovit fell under the influence of the Dark Side of the Force and wound up joining the Sith. During the war, he ended up pit against Hardin, his own family. Darth Zannah discovered the pair just after their epic battle, Hardin dead from the destruction of Lord Kaan's thought bomb.
