Darth Sidious, under the guise of Chancellor Palpatine, eventually took control of the clone army and used it to plunge the galaxy into war, pitting it against a droid army under the control of Count Dooku. Together the two Sith use the war to achieve their own ends of accumulating more and more power, as well as using the war to weaken and destroy the Jedi Order. Despite his best intentions, Sifo-Dyas' actions in creating the clone army ironically helped elicit the dark times his visions portended.
