Tap-Nar-Pal

Tap-Nar-Pal was a Cerean Jedi Knight of the Old Republic. Tap-Nar-Pal had an inherent gift of insight, with the ability to see farther and deeper into situations. Many times, he was told by his master that he would someday become an extraordinary Jedi. Ten years before the Clone Wars, Tap-Nar-Pal was apprenticed to Jedi Master Ronhar Kim, one of the great Jedi Masters of the Order. A simple Jedi, strong and reticent,, Ronhar Kim harbored no jealousy over the fact that Tap-Nar-Pal's gift of insight exceeded his own.The pair complemented each other and were a formidable force when called into combat.

Tap-Nar-Pal and Ronhar Kim were called to action when the fate of the galaxy was contested between the Republic and the Separatists. Taking up a position as a general in the Republic's armies, Ronhar Kim led legions of clonetroopers against the Separatist forces and Tap-Nar-Pal followed him into battle. During the course of the war, however, Ronhar Kim and Tap-Nar-Pal were not content to simply engage in battle after battle; the two hoped to find a solution that could end the war quickly.

Focusing on a piece of information that Count Dooku revealed to Jedi Master Obi-Wan Kenobi while the Separtist leader held Master Kenobi prisoner on Geonosis, the two formulated a plan that might take advantage of it. On Geonosis, Dooku had revealed that the Senate was being controlled by a hidden Sith Lord, and thus was controlling the fate of the Republic and the Jedi as well. While the information given to Kenobi could have been false, Tap-Nar-Pal and Master Kim would rather have made the mistake of believing him than the bigger one of not. They came up with a plan to use the Jedi's technology to test an individuals midichlorian count to narrow down, or at least eliminate potential suspects.
