Mira

Mira was a humanoid Jedi Knight of the Old Republic during the Clone Wars. With pasty white skin, a long neck, and dark colored flecks circling her eyes, Mira represented a paradigm of calmness and restraint. The fact the Mira would turn into such a reserved Jedi was surprising considering she was apprenticed to Jedi Master Sora Bulq, a formidable warrior who was paralleled in lightsaber combat only by Jedi Master Mace Windu. At the outbreak of the Clone Wars, Mira was one of the number of Jedi who refused to take up positions of generals in the Grand Army of the Republic and refused to participate in the battles of the Clone Wars.

A number of groups of these dissident Jedi emerged from the Order, with views ranging from the radical viewpoint of actually joining the Separatist, to the more moderate view of simply listening with an open mind to the issues they raise. Mira came to be the leader of the more moderate of the two extremes advocating diplomacy between the Republic and the Separatist to resolve the conflict. Other leaders emerged including the Whipid Jedi K'Kruhk, the Devaronian Jedi Jeisel, and the young, Human Jedi Rhad Tarn, who advocated outright opposition to the Republic.

Three months after the Battle of Geonosis, Mira's former Master, Sora Bulq, invited the leaders of these dissident groups, as well as a representative of the Jedi Council to his family's old estate on the moon of Ruul, a satellite of the Weequay homeworld Sriluur. Under the guise of hoping to resolve the schism within the Order, the meeting actually served two nefarious purposes. Shortly after the war, Sora Bulq had fallen to the Dark Side and become one of Count Dooku's minions. The meeting was an attempt to lure a member of the Jedi Council into a trap, implicating him or her to be in cahoots with Dooku and hopefully driving more Jedi to join Dooku.
