Mira - Page 2

Jedi Master Mace Windu was chose as the representative to attend the meeting as he was determined to be one of the best capable dealing with a potential trap. Upon meeting the Jedi Master, Mira was much more cordial, welcoming Master Windu's presence at the meeting, while those such as Rhad Tarn were suspicious of his motives. Shortly after all the Jedi were gathered, the trap was sprung. Dark Jedi Asajj Ventress appeared from the shadows to seemingly attack Master Bulq. While Jeisel and Mira were meditating beneath the light of Sriluur, they sensed Master Bulq was in danger.

Rushing to his aide, Mira was the first to engage the Dark Jedi while Jeisel, K'Kruhk, and Rhad Tarn caught up. But Mira was more of a diplomat than a fighter, and while she was a decent swordsman, she could not match Asajj's skills. Cut down, Mira became one with the Force before the eyes of her former Master. But it is unknown how Master Bulq truly felt about the death of his former Padawan. While he had indeed turned to the Dark Side, and it had been the plan that Asajj would attack the Jedi, Master Bulq had to feel some sorrow over the incident.

In the end, Asajj's presence was used in an attempt to turn the Jedi on Master Windu and closer the Master Bulq and Dooku. During the assassination attempt, Asajj made it appear as if her presence was because Master Windu wished it and she was his subordinate. While the plan worked, Rhad Tarn was the only Jedi to fall for the ruse. Consumed with anger, Tarn refused to see the truth, while Jedi Masters Jeisel and K'Kruhk controlled their emotions enough to stay grounded. Just one of the many casualties to result from the Clone Wars, Mira was used as a pawn for Dooku and the Sith's plan with her death serving to further divide the already crumbling Jedi Order.
